A Bit About Me
I am an embodiment facilitator and psycho-spiritual companion whose offerings can be considered invitations to nourish your Well(of)Being in holistic ways. I have spent the last decade immersed in embodiment facilitation of many forms, and more recently in Creative Arts Therapy (A form of psychotherapy that utilises creative modalities). Prior to these fields I was a professional circus and physical theatre performer, as well as doing undergraduate studies with focus on anthropology and gender theory. Since 2018 my primary work has been as a therapist specialising in gender and sexual diversity, abuse, trauma, and de-pathologising practice.
Whilst I am qualified to work with minds and bodies under the value systems of the Western paradigm, the best education I've had has been in-betwixt and beyond the privileged conditions of neo-colonial institutions. The heartfelt gifts, spiritual companionship and wisdom of countless beings who preserve and nurture a much more ancient and humane way of being with the world. It is to these teachings - like leaves and roots bursting through the cracks in concrete - that I owe my deepest gratitude and alliance.
Over the years of exploring my own w/holy journey it has become clear that I do not wish to abide with-and-in systems of heirarchy and oppression and yet I find myself through ignorance and capitalist-coersion, perpetually complicit in these collective dellusions. My practice is an ode to the paradox of our present situation...a form of companioning where we can both wrestle with the challenges of living lovingly in this chaotic world and discover the storehouse of self compassion which in turn fosters our authentic contribution to collective liberation.
I hope to one-day wake up in a world where love and acceptance of diversity, are the norms. Towards this end, you will find me writing about gender, sexuality, social justice, collective well-being, and the human journey. I live in a rental flat in Pōneke, Aotearoa, and acknowledge Taranaki Whānui - mana whenua (traditional guardians) - of this and surrounding lands. I also offer gratitude and acknowledgement to my partner, loved-ones and community, who support my work - because it takes a village to become truly and compassionately human.
